Can Cats Eat Bones?July 29, 2023
A cat cafe is an establishment where people can have coffee, food, and meet and interact with cats who live on the premises. Some cat cafes may have permanent resident cats, while others bring in cats from local shelters to be adopted out.
Cat Flower Garden was the first cat cafe, which opened its doors in Taiwan in 1998 and the number of cat cafes continues to grow in popularity and numbers.
Always call if you plan to visit a cat cafe, as numbers are often limited, slots can fill up quickly, so booking ahead is recommended and in some cases essential.
Most cafes have a minimum age requirement, so always check so you won’t be disappointed.
An entry fee applies to most cat cafes, and this generally doesn’t include drinks or snacks, you will have to pay for those on top of the entry fee. Most cafes have a time limit of one to two hours included in the entry fee.
If you are visiting a cafe with a view to adopt, be aware that in most cases you will not be allowed to leave with the cat on the day. The purpose of adoptions via cat cafes is to provide exposure for the cats and as a way for future adopters and cats to meet and greet.
Each cafe will have its own set of rules. Please respect the rules, which are in place to keep the cats safe and stress-free.
